Philly Weekend!

It's Sunday night and we're home from our latest Philadelphia adventures. What a great weekend!

We drove down Saturday morning, and it was such a pleasant drive. Will was so excited to see Grandmom and Grandpop!! They even had a present for him: a special Handy Manny Tool Belt with two more tools to add to his collection. We also had a nice visit with Brian's Grandmother and aunt on Saturday.

Sunday was the main event: The Kearns First Day at the Ballpark! Twenty-five of us got together to tailgate and then watch the Phillies play the Washington Nationals. Tailgating, by the way, is a lot of fun. I had never done it before because you can't exactly tailgate at hockey games! The new ballpark is beautiful, spacious and very family-friendly. Brian's cousin Colleen organized the whole trip and there even was "Kearns Phillies" t-shirts.....though I'm pretty sure "they fell off the back of a truck and we all received them anonymously as gifts." :) The Phillies won and it was a perfect first trip to Citizen's Bank Field for our family.
